haven't seen you post since you started working --- too busy counting your money - lol

have you discovered how work cuts into play time - stinks eh!

enjoy posts from you and mom - from the female perspective - lightens the place up a bit - don't be a stranger.

I haven't posted partly cuz I been busy and partly cuz I don't want to sit at the computer a whole lot after sitting in front of one all day.

Of course I'm running the joint! There's no one in the office anyway right now, so I'm running the office how I want! But it's been interesting. YES work does cut into my play time! There is so much down time at work right now, that I'm thinking about taking a few decoy heads to work on while i have nothing to do. I was told I could bring a book, but I can get so engrossed in books that I don't have a clue that the world is perhaps coming to an end. At least carving I can pay some attention to what is going on. :)

I haven't been a stranger...just lurking. I haven't had duckboats become an 'illegal' place to visit on my work computer so I haven't been visiting tooooooo much :) Alright, I am off to bed now. I went and shot five rounds of skeet today and didn't do too badly. Averaged about 14 or 15 out of 25 hit. Not bad. But it sure did make me sleepy :) hope all is well with you!

skeet is o.k. - get somebody to take you shooting sporting clays who knows the game - that is gonna help your wingshooting more than skeet - JMO of course

I have heard that sporting clays is better for wing shooting and I've never played sporting clays. I don't know anyone who plays it either. Plus the only range that I know of that has it is about an hour in good traffic away and $50 a round. Not complaining, but it's a bit out of what I want to be spending on one round of shooting and traveling through traffic. At the Navy base, I can play skeet for $2 a round and there are a bunch of guys there who are a great bunch to shoot with and are always willing to give me a hand which is cool. So when I start raking in the big bucks, maybe I can find someone who would go with me once a month or something. But skeet out at the navy base is often challenging b/c there is almost always a breeze...yesterday it was blowing close to 25 mph....made the clays somewhat unpredictable :)

Neat thing about a semi private skeet range is...you can usually stand at one station you have problems with and shoot all 25 shots....I used to stand at the last station and practice those fast coming , straight at ya shots.

i shoot in a winter skeet league and winter sporting clay league - NE wind off of lake huron at night with a little snow really adds realism to the skeet bird flight - lol

clays at our local club is $11/50 - most are in the $11-15 dollar range ---- add the cost of shells into it and it is not an inexpenseve sport - but it sure is fun

any 5 stand courses you can shoot are also fun - offer a variety of target presentations
