a date stamp from a digital photo, and if so, HOW? And if I can't do it is it possible for Mark Vanderhoof to do it from his original picture that he saved?

Just so were clear this is a photo that was sent to me by someone else so that means its been saved from the camera to his computer, then to a disk and then to my computer....

Its a picture of Mike that has a big red date in the right hand lower corner and I'd like to remove it cause it distracts the hell out of me when I use that photo as my desktop background...

Thanks,

Steve

Yo Steve,
Email it to me, let me see if I can work a little "coverup magic".

Steve,

You can change the settings on the digital camera to exlude the date stamp from photos it takes, but other than that you can't just remove the date- unless you photoshop it out. I'd be happy to do that if you email me a copy of the pic. You know how much I love eying harlequin pics...

Heh heh heh..."clone it out with photo shop"..."can you crop it out"..I can just see him looking for the clone or crop button on his keyboard now.

Most guys could learn to live with the distraction and soon would not even notice it. Considering that Steve is such an old fart and such, he must be putting the date on the picture, on all his daily work papers.

He probably has set some sort of sales record for that day by now!!

your right.....although I did "once" successfully crop a photo...but that was an accident and I couldn't remember how to do it the next time I tired, and in fact couldn't even remember where I stashed the one I had successfully cropped to even admire my handywork...

As far as "cloning" goes...well I'll leave that to the guys with the sheep and just hope they only pick the pretty ones....

Appreciate the answers and offers to help...I'll see if the efforts to remove the offending date stamp are successful shortly...

Steve
