Hey Lee, it's been a while since you saw.............

Man Dave that dog Jack needs to tell his owner to clean that model 12 up and take it out in the swamp and shoot some ducks with it. That gun must be going crazy being cooped up in the box with all the good hunting it has been missing.
 
Wonder how it got back to the U.S? I've seen pictures of them before..wonder if it was a "Flaydermans" (sp?) deal? They always had all those guns from other countries for sale in the sporting magazine ads. It would be pretty cool to find a "old,new" gun laying around like that. I'd probably clean it up and shoot it though. Too bad it didn't have a rib and fancy stock.
 
Don't remember what they sold for in 48,but in the mid 50's you could buy a plain one like that for just under
$100.I passed on the Modle 12 and bought an Ithica 37 for upland work and later upgraded it to target grade.
