Lee, This lesser grade cased Purdey SXS is $140,000 US

In most cases, a gun with case hardened finish (like the one above) is less expensive that a gun with an engraved coin finish.

As for the price of the two barrel set I posted earlier......the case with accesories only cost over $25,000 and you can pretty much count on the gun being worth close to $300,000.

The English take their gunning very seriouly, especialy the the upper crust & Royalty. Makes sense to me, as they are the only ones who can afford those prices.

You think reality is a good investment, these guns increase in value so quick that if you order the average high end gun at say $85,000 today it will be worth close to $120,000 when it is ready for delivery two years later. Today there are more well healed buyers in the world than anytime in history and when you have lots of people with big bucks most of the smart ones are happy to buy a nice gun that will be worth more than they paid for it in the years to come. Just like real estate when purchased in the right locations.

Getting back to reality, what do you think I paid for the Breda B-4-C SXS I just bought?

I actually like this ones looks better that the coin finish...something about case coloring trips my trigger.I see the Bredas on Guns America from time to time..they are usually in the 800-1500+ range....but knowing you..you probably were paid 300 bucks to haul it out of the closet and take it away.

No, I bet they paid Parks to remove the dangerous item from the closet....
Lee you need the two gun set since we are talking high crusty and cant use autos or pumps...that way you get four quick shots off instead of three. Six if you and your loader are on your game and the driven birds are flying well.
I like the case colors too but that coin pair made me think twice about that.

They caught me in a weal moment.......I bought that old Breda SXS 12 ga. for $350, I know they got to me...........but I just had to have it. :^)

Maybe if I'm lucky.....someday I can get my money back out of it?

It drew it's first blood yesterday, a pair of woodies down on the pond. Being IC & Mod I can shoot steel through it. It's going in next week for a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and she'll be ready to hunt.
