When is that magazine supposed to start showing up??? Haven't seen hide nor hair. I need to take a pic of the 410 and .28ga 11-48 Remingtons I got a few weeks ago to show you.

Should be anytime now Lee. Order was placed the first week of April and they said it would be up to 12 weeks before the first copy would arrive. I know my first issue took forewver to get here. It's only printed 6 times a year.

This dang "Double Gun Journal" I get is even worse as it's printed quarterly.............life is too short for a quarterly magazine, especially when they cost over $10 each!

Let me know when it shows up.

Dave ,I noticed on the last issue that my expiration date hasn't changed,so I guess the wheels are still turning.

I got in touch with the guy and he said he would check into it and get back with me later today.

Joe, which model DeHaan was it that you ordered? I know it was in black matte finish, but which one.

I have the paperwork orders filled out for a matched pair of 20 ga. Sovereign S-2 SxS's with 26" brls. and English straight stocks and a matched pair of Peregrine O/U U2's in 12 ga. 26" brls. with prince of wales grips and palm swelll. All with polished blue barrels and standard engraving. Double triggers on the SxS's and SST o the O/U's.

I figured I'd better get matched pairs so you would'nt have to drag that old Perazzi of yours through that Montana sage brush.

Actually, as you know I got matched pairs for Judy and I. I have an old beat-up Savage 311 "Finger-Buster" for you to use just so I can keep even with you in birds shot :^) Send me pic's when your DeHaan arrives.

Matches his...........................oh hell,I don't want to go there.......................

These guns are for upland bird shooting, not goose hunting from a pit blaind where you can have a heavy gun. I have always shot better with shorter guns. I have a 24" barrel on my 870 and it kills geese and ducks for me better than along barrel, even when pass shooting geese. My best dove shooting has been with an 18" riot barrel on my 870's. It's like throwing a blanket over them. BTW the doves are showing up here already for the pond water and as soon as this winter wheat dry's up they will have more food than they'll know what to do with.

You know John Wayne carried a 4-3/4" Colt S.A. instead of one of those gay looking Buntlines. With todays powders, a shotshells load is bunrnt up within the first 18" of a barrel. Some people may need to concentrate on their swing and follow through. I just snap-shoot birds if they are in range and don't have to carry all that extra weight around. Instead of swinging and following through, I have always picked a spot in front of a birds (depending on it's speed and distance) and let it run into my shot string. It's the same pricipal as the way Tom Knapp shoots 9 clays before they hit the ground, he sure the hell don't have time to think about leading them and his follow through, he's picking a spot where the bird will be when his shot reachs that point! :^)

As for you Joe, I'll have you know that my Grandfather got married to a 16 year-old when he was 95.....................he had to! :^)
