Hey Yukon Mike

Just checking to see if you are getting any better or if you are still layed up. Hope you have made some progress.

Thanks for asking Bob. Its been a rough week. Too sore to sit at the computer longer than to check the weather. I'm ok standing though so I've been working on decoys quite a bit at the bench with a drawknife.

I'll be waiting a while on an MRI before I go under the knife, maybe a year, maybe sooner. The last one I was scheduled for was about 11 months wait I think. Such is the Canadian system. Good thing I don't need a transplant or anything.

Nice of you to ask. I try not to think about it and just keep moving. : )

Mike

Best thing you can do. The work will help keep you moving. Try a
slightly reclined sitting position at about 15-20 degrees from
vertical. Good luck.

I am sorry to hear that you are stove up. Best Wishes from us down here in the Old North State.

Mike,
Have you considered inversion therapy? It has done wonders for my wife and some folks I know who were running out of options and considering surgery.

My thoughts are with you Mike. I have been though the back thing. It's turned out alright for me. Any questions PM me.

Mike:
A TNS unit could ease your pain. It's a transcutaneous nerve stimulator applied with electrodes that allow you to be mobile. What it does is block the pain receptors to the brain. The pain is still there but you don't feel it. A doctor or physical therapist could prescribe it for you and get you one, either to buy or rent. I have 3 and could send to you but you would need someone to show you how it works.

But if it is as bad as it sounds the decoys might not be able to self right after a weeks worth. Better make it canadian club.
Don't laugh mike, might cause a setback.
The palm frond oldsquaw is getting ready for the maiden long island sound voyage this week.

Thanks for all the concern guys, but yer embarrassing me. I got nothing to whine about. I went for a walk with an old friend, Bob Moose, 3 time Rondezvous Howling champion, now in his 12th year, and felt pretty lucky. He can't get his ass end off the floor without assistance these days and he's starting to have some anal leakage, which is probably going to be the last straw for him. He's a great dog, but his end is near.

Pete I might want to give you a call. What's your phone number?

Mike
