Life has really slowed up for us. The feverish plans for our son's May 2nd wedding have come to a screeching halt. Lisa'a occasional work as a substitute Teacher ended abruptly and I am working from home. Our morning coffee that has in the past felt a bit rushed, has now become an hour on the back porch listening to the Daily Audio Bible, praying together and watching the bird feeder. The feeder is drawing red bellied wood peckers, boat tailed grackles, squirrels, blue jays. mocking birds. mourning dove and collard pigeons but the stars of the morning show are the painted buntings. I have been aiming at them the Canon 80D with a Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm lens screwed onto the front. I have yet to get a pic that really satisfies my photographer heart but here is such as I have. A bunting in flight, perfectly in focus would bring contentment. If you would have told me a month ago that I would spend an hour every morning sitting on the porch sipping coffee with my bride watching birds, I would have asked "How?" As much as I would have loved the idea, it would have sounded impossible since I am not yet retired. How life has changed.
