Very easy, just leave the vent shut tight in the morning, go to work & let the temperature outside rise to about 90, like it did in Mobile yesterday. If your fuel system has no leaks, by time you come homefrom work it should be fully pressurized, your gas tank should look like a balloon & you should have a good flow of fuel pouring out the propeller hub and a 1/2 empty gas tank.
Now, to figure out how to get rid of the contaminated soil under my boat!
 
Sounds like your inlet needle and float could use a look-see. I'd say most of the gas on the ground was vaporized at 90 deg.
 
I hope to have some time to try to crank it up this evening to see if it will start. I really hope the carb is ok, don't have the money to spend on a rebuild right now!
 
With your heat down there the best thing to do for clean up of the small spill is to shovel it up and then spread it out someplace where it will be in the sun all day, but not have kids or dogs walking on it. Place it in a layer no more than 2 inches thick and rake it once a week to aerate it.

If there is oil from a 2-cycle mix then it will take longer for the bugs and the heat to break it down. In a hot environment you don't want the soil to dry out or the bugs will die.

In two weeks it will be below most cleanup standards for gasoline contaminated soil, and can go back in the hole.
 
Took out the plugs and cleaned/dried them & then tried to get the motor to crank. It would turn over but no fire. Not even a sputter.
Any advice on how to start an engine that is clearly flooded (more like saturated)?
Do I need to let it sit a few more days?
Do I choke it, turn the throttle to start or all the way down, etc...
Want to try every thing I can before I put money in a carb kit.
Help!
 
Ohh..Pretty much just pull the plugs and jerk it a few times to clear the cylinders...like you found out excess gas goes right out the bottom. If it would have been a 4 stroke I was gonna say drain your oil. I had a 4 stroke do that and gas filled the crank case.Make sure you have the kill switch in the start position!
 
NO, choking will just flood it more. Remember back before fuel injected cars? When you flooded it you would hold the gas to the floor and crank...that opens the plates on the carb and introduced air....you already have gas in there.
