HRCH title

We got the final pass at the Tejas HRC test this weekend.

Angel is what some would call a "High-Strung dog."
I think, that some folks use that as an excuse for their dog's bad manners and bind / boat behavior.
To quote a bumper sticker: "Train don't complain."
A lot like a "hyper" boy, a hyper dog needs attention, training and discipline, not medication.
Angel is fast and driven when called and calm when required. It took 3 years of the afore mentioned attention, training and discipline.

Off the soap box.

Thanks to all that helped out along the way.

Paul, I just acquired a new pup who's going to be handful - in a good way. I only have the weekends to train him as you know. If he's half as good as your beauty, I'll be happy. Good work and avoid the East coast tomorrow, a storm is a comin'.

You and Angel did great. Congratulations from someone who knows HRCH equates to a lot of time and dedication. As you know that HRCH is a piece of paper, but it shows your dog possesses outstanding retrieving skills that us hunters want in our dogs.

Great job!

Everyone wants a dog with lots of FIRE that is well mannered but few are willing to put in the time or effort.
Congradulations to both of you. It sure does make it more fun when you know and can read your partner(well most of the time).
Keep Training, John

Congratulations, I know it takes a lot of dedication and hard work, plus a talented dog to achieve that title.

Out here we have another name for high-strung, we call it Style. Personally I love hunting with a stylish retriever willing to go through any obstical in order to retrieve that bird.

Congratulations on your HRCH title..and I'm sure you informed everyone at the ribbon ceremony that you "titled" so you didn't miss out on your honorary bucket-o-water, right.

kewl daddy o, big congrats... now only 27 more finished passes and you get a jacket, absolutley free! travis (who thinks free jackets are about as cost effective as all that free duck meat I have in my freezer!)
