Very curious as to where you are these days and what has been happening as your Alaska trip progresses?
Thanks,
Jesse

Jesse,

I think Dave dropped his fishing pole right before he got mauled.

Jesse, he stopped by on tuesday morning after going down the Kenai Penn. He went on a halibut charter out of Ninilchik and hooked up with a 40 and a 80 pounder letting more go. He shipped alot of fish home and then dropped off a few packs of fresh 'butt on tuesday morning.

His next stop was the Matanuska glacier and then out the Glenn towards the Yukon.

Very funny Eric,,, A couple times when I was doing some solo exploring, I did have some concerns about just that possibility. I did break a pole the other day. I was in my Kayak, fishing in the bay off Homer spit. The waves were rocking me back and forth while I was making my back cast with my 8weight fly rod. On the forward cast the three slit shot I had on the leader smacked into the upper rod section like a .22 cal bullet. Needless to say the rod did not survive the impact. Bummer,,,,,,,,,,,

No more pictures right now but I'm at Yukon Mikes place for the nite. He doesn't know cause he's not here, so I can just make myself right at home, hehe. After I left the fish with Ray, I went and walked on a big ice cube, (glacier style) which was a neat experience. I'll be getting home in a few days at which time I'll try to post up some more pictures.
