I recently purchased a new Gatortrax 18 * 50 with a rear huntdeck. I am now looking for a good blind for this boat. I would prefer not to have to drill into the boat to mount the blind. What would you guys recommend...?

your gonna hate that boat especially if you got one of them high zoot full race surface drive mud moters gonna be horrible you should sell it ... or id trade ya for my livingston and 25 horse out board (joking ) In my humble openion i wouldnt be so affraid of drilling holes and using emt tubing couse when holes are drilled it aint gonna give you issues when ya drive there with ya blind strapped down too the boat also look at bimini top holding fixtures

Post some pics of that new boat!

Larry,

I have a mud buddy quick flip, and I've never fastened it permanently to a boat. The crossbars have curved connectors that go over and around the rub rails. The new ones are even available with mounts that go into the seat bases.

Some manufacturers (like war eagle) have accessory tracks that can be used to mount a blind structure. War eagle even offers a base system for the avery blinds.

Thanks guys...I will try and get photos of the boat. I was looking at either the beavertail or the mud buddy "shaggy" blind. Any thoughts?

I've never used the shaggy.

Glen runs a good business and his customer service is top notch. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.

That blind looks good. I wonder if they offer a shaggy cover for the old quick flip?

I may have to give them a call...
