Hunting in SC

Hey everyone I haven't posted in awhile hope everyone is well, but recently I've relocated to Charleston SC for college and was just wondering what the duck hunting (or any hunting for that matter) around here is like. Seeing as I'm going to miss a chunk of the season back home I've been thinking if it would be worth trying to squeeze some hunting in down here. Any input would be appreciated before I go spending money on out of state licenses and whatnot.
Thanks
Erik

Eric, just moved away from Charleston. There are areas, but hooking up with someone local is going to be your best bet. Its not an easy place to do it yourself without a lot of trial and error. There are quite a few people that stay local in that school who have plantaion connections.... They would be good to be friendly with. Both North and South of town have good wetlands. Good Luck.

Erik,

A lot of colleges now have on campus chapters of Ducks Unlimited, which may have contacts with some local alumni from your school. I would look into that, if there is no on campus chapter, search out the closest local chapter and see if there are any alumni from your school. They may be willing to bring you along on a few hunts or at the very least point you in the right direction.
