Hybrid ducks

One final hurrah this afternoon. Farmers kid asked if I could make it down this afternoon as he said he had a pile of mallard show up with this storm. As I went through the video in slow motion, that he sent me, saw 2 leg bands and pin x mal sitting on an ice shelf. One chance to get this done and hopefully he shows up. Fingers crossed good things happen this afternoon.
 
No dice on bands. Did see the hybrid but he didnt want to play. Hes a good one, hope those boys can get it next weekend. They have friday and saturday to try for him. I will unfortunately be stuck inside hospital walls. 25/26 season is done for me. Cold one yesterday afternoon, only 9 degrees and when the sun went away, it got real cold in a hurry. Ive never gripped a steering wheel heater so tight to warm the fingers again after the pick up.

She didnt act cold. I was for sure, but she was just having the time of her life in the snow. As soon as she got out of the truck, she was a handful. Fired up beyond belief. Too bad this dog doesnt take pressure, she could of been something special. Shes a good retriever, but cant do anything technical. her nose is unbelievable, better than my first, but my first could work through pressure. Put a little on this one and shes done for a week.

My family has a huge pond out back an we duck hunt it late season an he has Indian runner ducks looks just like mallards but can’t fly well a friend of the family hunted an said first 3 ducks swam in he shot …. Welp that was that an he got it mounted as a memory of Petey the duck …. Lmfao
