I don't think I can bring myself to make another post...

... as I've been watching this benchmark approaching.

Others have crossed it, some I know took note, some may not have. Some have asked about my lack of participation of late. I've just been questioning if I actually had anything worthy to say.

I may have posted more than Lee, but I think his words were worth more than mine...... and still are.....

I know you have been holding back out of respect, but I'm pretty sure he would have said to get over it and get to it. Maybe try extra hard to post something worthwhile :).

Chuck,

As some of the others have noted it's not about quantity, it's about stick figures W/ sauce pan hats and good advise.

Keep on posting!

Lee would be laughing at you and would have some wise crack to go with it or maybe a stick drawing poking fun at you.

I only met Lee 3 times and the first was at WL. I was a newbie there and he and fellow MLB guy Chuck Crump made me feel like a brother....best people I met that year. I can tell you that he would say as stated above.....post up and get over it. He was a no nonsense guy and he would never think someone should worry about numbers!!!!! I believe that his memory is carried on by the people of this forum and your posts passing his number will be no disrespect to him. Aside from that your posts are not fluff and I go out of my way to read anything you might post. Either good advice on forum protocall or good advice on decoys and releated stuff so please ..... if you have something to say..say it.

It is amazing how often I search for something and Lee's advice still is some of the most useful or thought provoking. Lee would not mind you going past him.
btw If you go back and read some of Lee's posts not everything was serious. If you're having a good time he would feel the post is worth it. I'd have about 14 posts if I worried if it was worthy. :) Like that new dude said "Take a poop."

Although Lee and I never got the chance to meet face to face after many emails and phone conversations about boats to decoys and siding to plumbing to music and movies Lee and I are the same age and found we had a lot in common. Of course Lee had a lot in common with many members here. He and I had planned to hunt together that fall he got the news of his cancer. I was hopeful but couldn't believe how fast time went before we heard from his daughter about his passing. He was crazy about his grandson Blake and many stepped up to help Blake come into the fold. I haven't seen his daughter or Blake post in a long time but I hope Blake is following in his grandfathers footsteps. I think Lee would get a kick out of a few pot head drawings showing up now and then so he could get a laugh at what he started with his artistic abilities.
