Icy Friday Video

After inspecting the forecast and my work schedule I decided to take Friday off and do a solo hunt on the bay. Upon arrival to the ramp I found a friend was already out and he graciously allowed me to join him as the area I had originally planned to hunt was iced in. Even after some fine waterfowlers decided to set up right next to us with their all white skiff we still were able to get a few birds to commit and have some shooting before my friend left for work and I stuck around. Not a bad mix of black ducks, mallards and gadwalls around and it was certainly worth taking the day off.

My camera batteries didn't care for the chilly conditions Friday so I wasn't able to capture my full hunt, but I still scraped some footage together.

NDR, I also got around to putting together my 2013 Fishing Highlight reel if anyone is interested in viewing that:

very cool. Was that all done on GoPro?

Everything is a GoPro aside from one or two shots of the decoys, which were my phone. They aren't the best for hunting footage but it's a decent option for filming yourself.

The fishing video was 100% GoPro.

Loved the fishing video. Having 4 tuna hooked at once sure looks like one hell of a circus, good problem to have!

Thanks Carl. You aren't kidding, especially when one of the 40 lb longfin decides to end up being a 150 lb bigeye... took about 35 minutes or so to get that one to the boat.
