What a great deal on a Northfield 12" Jointer. I see them go for $3500 at auction. $1500 is considered a Steal. This one is even direct drive.

He may very have been fine with that. A lot of these old machines being sold by hobbyists have been sitting unused for years. The owners just want it gone so waiting a little while longer isn't usually a big deal. Of course they do like to be paid up front.
