I'm lazy,,,,,,,

I admit it, I could do a search on my own but I thought I'd ask if any one has a recommendation.

I just replaced my rust bucket of a truck for a new set of wheels. I purchased a Ford F150 extended cab pickup. I want to protect the seats from my dirty work clothes and was looking for some type of seat cover for the drivers seat. The F150 has a seat mounted side air bag which means any seat cover used will have to made such to allow proper deployment of the air bag. I'll just throw a beach towel over the front face of the seat for now.

Any one have a particular model and brand of cover which you have found fits well and is built to accommodate the side deploying air bag?

I'll second Marathon. I've had mine for 5 years. They will fade, but the fabric holds up well.

Congrats on your new toy.

Best,
Steve

Man oh man,

I sure hope you guys aren't referring to a Marathon cover like this;

HEHEHEHE :>) :>)

That WAS the first and most popular thing that came up when I did a Google search.

I did find more appropriate ones tho, thanks. As you say, they are pricey, but it gives me something to consider.

Come to think of it, I do have a new grandbaby on the way, due to arrive this coming December. I may be in the need of a pink one after-all.

I want to protect the seats from my dirty work clothes....

We've been working together for 20 years and I have yet to see you get dirty... ha ha Heck, you just admitted you were lazy.... Couldn't resist. Looking forward to seeing the new ride.

That's probably why you can afford a new truck and I can't. I needed a few days away, the place was starting to get to me.

Jeff,

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, at least one of us has been working. Thanks for noticing.

ZING ! ! ! HAHAHAHA, the only thing better than a zing, is returning a zing and making it count! Too funny.

Geez Dave, if I'd have known you were going to sell your truck, I probably would have bought it when I was down there in June! (But only if you included the topper with bunk bed and table set up!)

Are you setting up this one the same way?

I use beach towels. These are PERFECT for lazy people. They are cheap, don't take up much space. I can easily keep an extra one handy if the I really mess one up, or if I am extra wet. The most important benefit (besides being cheap) is that I tend to wash them much more often that anything that has to be "removed".

Robert,

I'll consider that alternate option, but I may just have to go along with what Jeff said and just,,,,,,,,,,,,, not get dirty while at work. (sounds like a win/win answer to me)

I think I may just peel out some moldy money and order a good set of the Marathons. I like the idea of waterproof cordura for protection.

When I Had My Jeep, I had a set of Bestop Brand Seat covers and they where the nicest fitting seat covers I have ever seen. I don't know if they make them for your truck or not but they fit percectly for the seat in my jeep and they had all of the allowances for the options of my vehicle's seat. Good luck. I prefer the option of staying clean at work but when your playing you don't want to worry about that.

I've got Marathon covers on my 4runner and they have lasted eight years so far.
Yes they are faded but it just gives them charachter. Alot of people have been impressed
with the fit and ask where I got them.
Good Stuff John
