We spend a good deal of time along the creek,
There are places to roam and run and see.
It is easy there these days.
There are quail and turkeys in the brush and on the roosts in the cottonwoods.
There are Grey squirrels scrambling up the pines.
There are new clouds born across a ridge faraway...
Sometimes I just lay down and listen to it all.
It fills me,
It is good.
The red dog puts his head upon my chest and I laugh at his antics.
This is life.
