ISO 6 pin, waterproof connection

I am gathering the pieces for the electrical on my Sneakbox. I have a 12V 12aH sealed battery, a 3 gang waterproof swithc set, and a 12V outlet. I am using LED navigation lights, and LED underdeck lighting. I bought a dry box from Walmart's camping section, and installed the switches and the outlet in the cover. All the connections will contained this way, and it will strap down along with the battery on the small Starboard side shelf.

What I am in search of is a small, clean, waterproof connection from the outside of the box to the inside. I will have 6 wires (2-battery, 2-nav lights-2 courtesy lights), that need to enter the box. Any suggestions for a bulkhead mounted connector /plug to use? I see some on-line that are like $40 per half! There must be something cheaper? I could hard mount and hard wire everyting then just seal around the wires, but I know that will fail at some point?

Dave,

What gauge wire are you needing to match? I can look through our wiring harness/pigtail selection here at the bodyshop. We keep a box of harness plugs and such for making repairs. People get touchy about dropping a few grand for a new wiring harness to get a plug or two!

I'll start a search when I get a few minutes.

Dave,
this is what you want.

Scott F might know of another but it is the ones we use, because its what is on the Cat, Cummins, and Volvo engines.

Not cheep. But way better than just some silicone and E tape.

Gene, I have 10ga wire from the battery, and then 18ga wire for the LED lights. The 10ga is overkill, but I got the 2ft I needed real cheap ;).

Bob, I am familiar with the Deutch Connectors from my Harley, didn't realize the make a panel mount too. I already have some of the pins and the crimp tool for them.

Sorry Dave. No luck. I've got some 2,3 and 4 wire plugs but the only 6 or more wire plugs I found I only have one side of them. Customers will not be happy if I go shopping in the parking lot :)

Either of the brands suggested in the links above will work great. If you can find one to push one side through a hole in the box with a locking nut on the inside it will work really slick for you.

Good luck!

Gene, thanks for looking. Yes what I want is a panel/bulkhead mount in the box, with the connector screwing or snapping on on the outside. Looks like a run to West Marine tomorrow... I hate to go there as they never have any stock, and is across town. But will give me a chance to stop in at the Marina and see if my motor is ready!
