ISO Storage clips for Avery Push Pole

With the clearance sale and a $10 coupon I picked up an Avery push pole for $6 and change. I had made my own with an aluminum pool cleaning pole, since we filled the pool in with dirt! The cleaning pole was not ridgid enough, and the twist locking mechanism was not tight enough for a duck boat. Need the ability to collapse as I have a small cockpit in the sneakbox.... anyway, I know I have seen the clips to fit the pole (rather large diameter), but am coming up blank on-line. Any suggestions or a part number? Even the Avery site does not show them?

TIA, Dave

I cut 2 1" long sections of PVC and mounted them to the boat about 6' apart. The pole slides right in and fastens to the pvc. Took 5 minutes and cost next to nothing.

Dave,
Mag-lite makes clips to hold their flashlights, might fit the avery push pole. I've never measured but I think the diameter may be close?

Dave, I put a PVC threaded end on my wooden push pole and screw on a PVC T to help pick up decoys. For travel I attached a ring of PVC near the front of the boat that the pole will fit through and then screw the T on so it won't slide out. Then just tie the back end to the boat either with bungee or a chunk of rope. Works great!!

Dave:

This may not be the most professional looking solution but I used 1 1/2" PVC pipe to make clips for my push pole. Cut 3 inches off the end of the pipe. Split it in half. Two self drilling screws in each half mounted them about 4-5 feet apart. Just pop it in. It holds tight and does not rattle. I put mine in my boat 5 years ago and they have held up with no problems. I painted them with black paint that sticks to plastic to match PVC rod holders in my OD green boat. Took about 20 minutes to make them and mount them. About $5 cost. Easy as pie.

Thanks Scott, they are the clips I was looking for... I looked at Cabela's but apparently did not use the right search words!

Thanks, Dave

If you have a Fisheries distributor near you they carry these clips. That's where I got mine. If you have one near you you already know they aren't the cheapest option.
