and this morning I got one......a "two-holer" at that!

Found this one eBay and it will work just fine to hold two of my Spanish doubles at once.

This leather over oak AYA breakdown case holds two SXS's or O/U's. It's absolutely mint condition and from what I can find ou, they run over $2K new. I flat stole this one (otherwise I would never have got it). The small leather tabs are lifted to expose the two accessory compartments within the case. It will be perfect to thow in the bottom of the duck boat to protect the guns on those stormy sea duck hunts with Steve :^)

Dave,
That case reminds me of a traveling salesman suitcase. That's what I thought of when I first saw it anyhow. :) Guess I"ll be a bit more cautious from now on when I see traveling salesmen...who knows what is in that case

Hi Bob,

No, I just won it on eBay this morning. It's being shipped from the mid-west. The gal that had it on eBay really did not know what it's value was. By the looks of her other stuff it may have been a divorce sale. Maybe for a few bucks more she'll throw in the guns? :^)

Lee,

Thanks and a question, how do I respond to somepones post directly like we used to do? My replies always go to the bottom no matter what I do.........and I don't like that, I want to respond to them directly UNDER their post.

Dani,

Yep, they do sory of look like an old display case in a way. But, they have been making rifle and shotgun cases like this since the 1800's. A Purdey, Westly Richards or Holland & Holland rarely ever left the factory without a PROPER travel case.....you know (with a British accent)

You about ready to wrap up your season for the year?

Dave

I don't know Dave..I don't think you can respond that way. makes it kinda hard to follow a busy conversation doesn't it. So, you got the goldmine and her ex got the shaft huh?

Lee,

It does make it a pain to respond to one person in particular when several guys or gals are answering the post's originator, etc. Let's all show up at Eric's house and get him to fix it :^)

Both the seller and I got the GOLD, it was the poor ex-hubby that got the shaft! But being guys........we know that's usually the case anyway.
