We decided to go look for some shrooms today after the storm slowed. Lots of them popping up. Made it out of the woods with 4 types of chanterelles. We used them all in a bell pepper cream sauce, unreal how good it was.

Coincidently, I too picked a bunch of mushrooms yesterday, Golden Oysters. Filled my 12 packer and a large plastic shopping bag. All growing on one tree overhanging the water. I even managed to grab a few higher ones without falling into the water. [shocked] Had sauteed mushrooms and eggs scrambled together for lunch yesterday and breakfast this morning.

It was definetly a good day. We found a young meripilus that wasnt in the picture too. I have never seen goldens out here but i dont spend much time in the woods late june through mid august. Usually chasing tog around but a few days of 3-5 footers and heavy sustained wind made the sound into mud.

Im a big fan of wild mishrooms with eggs, i love making a fritatta with some hens and a little curry. So good!
