Kinda had me a bit alarmed NDR

I was thinking like Carl said sit on the porch.... but then again don't fall off the porch ( ; )

There is a saying "If you look over your shoulder all the time You will trip" So go for it....

Wow Lou! What do you do for fun after all of that, eat glass? LOL In an attempt to make you feel even more lucky about it, The little voice in my head always says--"Go ahead...it'll be fine." ...and my elbow would have required surgery with a nerve block to put my ulnar nerve on the inside of the bend, to match my other elbow....and my battery would have blown out the bottom, right through my new boat hull... LOL...some people have all the luck!

Lou, I think we all need a little nudge now and then to take better care of ourselves and use the good luck we are allowed. Glad to hear all is well. Battery blow ups are one of the worst, I had some BIG ones blow up in the Navy right next to me BOOOM.

Lou,

Enjoy your Birthday Cheese Cake today! HECK, Enjoy the whole flip'n day!

Very best,

Scott

Thanks much Scott. In my book, that keeping track of birthdays that you do is outstanding.
The wife made cheese cake last night and is also making strawberry shortcake for this evening also.
Oh yah, it's a good day.
Thanks again,
Lou

Strawberry shortcake ?
Did someone say strawberry shortcake ?
Party at Lou's !

We can do a party............presuming I tell you the right time. ;) I'm pretty protective of my strawberry shortcake.
When we got up this morning, Anne asked me if it was up to her to make coffee this morning. Yup, I said, I only get BD & Fathers Day to get any of that done for me...without it costing me a bunch in favors.

Lou,

You sure must have her fooled. Any one else knows you haven't been THAT good.
Take care, Huntindave McCann

Dave,
She just lets me think I've got her fooled. :)

Hey Lou, glad to hear that you are recovering from the infection. I've just recently seen a couple of stories on television about people who lost major body parts due to strep infections that got into small cuts. Yikes! It turns out that strep bacteria are everywhere including on our own skin much of the time.

When I was a kid I used to think that my mother was way too paranoid about cleaning, medicating and bandaging even small cuts and abrasions. Now I understand why. I shudder to think of what could have happened!

Happy birthday and many more to ya.

Chris

Man, that brings back memories of mercurechrome, merthiolate and iodine. When i was a kid, that was an Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell ya, I remember using all that stuff. Seems to me that the mercurechrome didn't hurt but the other stuff did. Guess you're getting old when you remember all that stuff. ;)

Hey, I remember those medicines (antiseptics?). There was nothing like some isopropyl alcohol poured onto an open cut either. Sometimes the medicine hurt worse than the injury! And, of course, who can forget those red stains left on your skin by most of those medicines.

Tgentry, much of that medicine was dispensed on my behalf when I lived in North Little Rock from 1962 - 1967. I busted many a knee or elbow on the rocky soil of that town.
