Here is a link I found on the 24-hour campfire about an Idaho guys recent hunt on Kodiak Island for deer and ducks. He also took a couple of cross breed fox. He saw some Mnt. goats, and a couple of bears. Bears on Kodiak Island, really? Its true there are a couple of them there.

The thread is filled with lots of photos so it takes a while to load even on a high speed connection.

yes those deer hats do work according to people that go out there often, but only in areas that don't get much pressure.

I would strongly reccomend that anyone with any interest in hunting divers entertain the idea of Kodiak at least once in their lifetime. Unfortunately I dont have any digital pics, but I have been a few times, and it is right at the top of my favorite places in the world list. Last trip we had 1 day with 14 species of ducks harvested (more than one guy of course) The amazing thing is going down bays that seem like you'll never reach the end and ducks around every corner it seems. Plus tons of other critters. Down side is life in an indian villiage can get real depressing real quick.
