John should have Lady M tomorrow. I hope he does better with her than I did.
We have had so much rain since the fall that the rivers I hunt were too high to do anything safely.
I got her out for one field hunt for geese. Mallards had been in the field the previous week but we didnt see any. One flock of geese came and worked but didn't commit so we passed on shooting. On the way home I counted nearly 500 geese withing a few miles. The weather was just so mild that they loafed all morning.
Work and sick kids prevented me from getting her out any more.
Our duck season closed last week but it looks like I may do OK on the geese in January. Uggg. Better luck next year.
