Tom - Thanks for the post. That is a awesome display.
Very informative article and photo's from a historic area of American Waterfowling. It brought to mind many wonderful times spent at the old Westlake Show to learn about and see such things first hand. A 150th Anniversary Winous Point Shooting Club 1856-2006, glass tumbler, has a prominent place in my man room. A gift from Mr. Ky. God Rest His Soul.
I recall Mr. Franta roaming the halls, and being a fierce competitor. Everywhere ya looked there seemed to be the best collectors, collections, carvers, artists and vendors. It was the Golden Age Of Decoy Shows. Thank God I got to enjoy it first hand, and to hunt some of the old clubs that became Ohio DNR public areas.
I tip my hat to all responsible for the exhibit. Salude!
