LAUNCHED THE BBIII

Well I finally had my inspection completed and off we went to the ramp. She performed better than I ever could have wished. After a 20 minute putt around for part of the break in on the new yamaha I was able to get her to 1/2 throttle for the next hour but no longer than 5 minutes at a time. At 1/2 throttle she jumped on plane and GPS'd at 24 mph. I cant imagine how fast she is going to go at full throttle. No backsplash in the well, no porpoising nothing but a smooth transition to plane. I am pleased and my first mate (wife) had a good time too.

I'm glad that the launch went well and you are getting good performance. Very neat, you should be proud!

Charlie,

I wish I could have seen your grin when you first cracked the throttle and got her up on plane.

Priceless.......

Sweet dreams haha

All right Charlie, glad to see and hear things went well. Smooth shakedown run is a good thing. 24mph at 1/2 throttle, that baby's gonna fly. You did a great build, it was fun to watch it come together and now my friend Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep your powder dry and have a successful season.

Charlie,
Congratulations! The boat looks great- It's been a real pleasure watching the progress under your first rate craftsmanship. Hope you get some equally rewarding hunts out of her!

Have a great season!
-Bill

PS- my yamaha 25 just went over 100 hrs runs better than when new.

Congratulations Charlie
It looks like you had a nice day up in Oyster Bay Harbor for it's maiden run.
It was nice meeting you and seeing the boat up close at the SSWA Show last week
Good luck with the rest of the season

Look'n good. Your boat is a treasure. My Cackler is about a month behind yours (I hope).
