Hello,
I remember there were some here that were interested in getting a high quality, field bred Golden Retriever. Well, we bred my Gus (Topbrass Montana Lonesome Dove) to a very nice master hunter bitch a while ago, and she now has seven pups on the ground, four boys, three girls. I am taking a male and the breeder's are keeping a female, the puppies are just over three weeks old. I am not selling the pups, my stud fee is that male puppy, I just wanted to let you know about this quality litter.

Gus earned 17 derby points to get on the National Derby List, he also won his forst Qualifying FT well before age three and I got a Reserve Judges Award of Merit (basicaly 5th place) in his first All Age trial (a huge step up to the highest level of difficulty, there were only six out of 50 plus that finished that trial, and the other five were much older field champions). That was one week after he turned three.
Here's a pic of Gus and Alex, Gus is the lighter Gold with the blue ribbon...
Gus sitting on the foredeck of my Cackler. He already is showing that he isn't just a field trial dog, he has big paws to fill, but I think he is going to be my best hunting dog ever, he certainly has all the tools, plus that intense drive to get the bird no matter what, ice, cover, big water, he will not give up.
Gus was birdy at a young age. Here he is at 10 weeks coming back with a duck I had shot that morning, and threw out on the lawn to see what Gus would do; he promptly ran out, picked it up and ran right back to me. I knew right then and there that I had a special dog.
