Long Island Duckboat Show - Oct 30th

The South Shore Waterfowlers Association will hold it's 31st Annual Duckboat Show and Waterfowl Festival at Cedar Beach Marina, L.I., NY on Oct 30th (raindate Nov.6th).

If people can bring their boats, it really makes for a great show.
I believe they like them there early, though (i.e. 7:30/8:00-ish).

I wish they had an "In the water" section, I don't trailer my boats.

Did my annual long Island visit back on the week of Sept 8-10 saw a couple of my old school friends, some of my old clamdigger buddies{retired} and a few relatives. Checked out the surf at shinnecock thurs , Monster gnarly waves. Fri went to gilgo= awesome waves. After sending pics to one of my old LI buddies in Calif. he noted "looks like you were there with a camera not a board" Hey I'm 65 not 16. Anyway while cruising down Ocean parkway? is that the right name? I couldnt help notice beautiful flocks of canadas out over the marsh just north of the state channel . There was a big bunch near Hemlock cove, another two dozen or so just west of west fox creek. I moved to florida 31 years ago. I guess I will never get that great south bay out of my system. Anyway. hope the duck boat show goes well Im sure if you listen and look out into the marsh from Cedar beach you will probably see some of the same beautiful birds I saw!. Maybe I will try to go up at the end of Oct next year. Then again gunnin is awful good in North Dakota around that time. Tough choice huh? Rich

I'll be the at my booth with a few boats. Come on by and say hello.
If any DHBP members want to get together we can set up in one section. I would not think it will be a problem as long as we get there early. PM me if your bringing a boat and I'll speak to Curt about it.
