I've tried Metzer and Stromberg but they don't have any. I just need someone that has the permit who would be willing to sell me either a couple goslings or even a couple eggs.
where are you located? also, you must have a federal propagation permit to possess them.a federal sale and disposal permit if you intend on raising and selling them.some states have a licensing requirement as well.just fyi.
I'm in California. I do know that I need to have those permits. That's why I'm trying to find someone that has a licensed flock. I can buy birds from that person legally and start my own flock.
first thing i would do is subscribe to the game bird and conservationists' gazette(www.gamebird.com) they have all kinds of info and classifieds with GOOD breeders listing their stock for sale. i looked through the classifieds of the current one and the only thing i saw that was in the state of california is this one.(animals inc.(530) 269-1144). keep in mind not all listings have everything they have on hand and it may take a call or two from breeder to breeder to find what your after.again the gazette is a pricelss tool if you are getting into this.my family has raised wild waterfowl for as long as i can remember and i cant think of a time that we havent had the gazette.
