Maine seaduck guides?

A few years back I hunted seaducks in Maine with Captain Bill Wasson. It was a great experience. I understand Bill has retired and I have not been able to reach him by e-mail. A friend of mine has asked for a recommendation on a Maine seaduck guide. Can anyone here help?

Thanks,
Jeff Churan

I hunted a few years ago with Todd jackson at Penobscot bay outfitters. I was pretty pleased aside from the -30 deg with windchill. He worked hard, and we got our birds.

another vote for todd jackson.i have never hunted with him but have had clients go adn they all say the same thing.great guy, busts his butt to get you your birds and his equipment is top notch.

Check out Eiders Down, Inc. around Milbridge, ME (about 70 miles from Bangor). Galen Ruhlin, owner, has a long history of guiding, and Bill Pidgeon is a former Maine Game Warden. I don't use guides, but Ruhlin has a very good reputation, and is a capable boatsman. The web site is up and has all info.

Good luck!

Or, if you want to come south a little bit and hunt Mass., some friends of mine started a guide service last year. They work very hard at getting you your birds, and if for whatever reason the trip doesn't work out and you are not satisfied, they will take you again on their dime. Shoot me a PM and I will send you their contact info.
