MALARKY carving weekend pictures

We recently had another carving get together at Jon Espey's house in Tuscaloosa, AL (also known as God's country, ROLL TIDE!). As has become the custom, I could barely breath during my ride home back to Starkville on Saturday night as I was stuffed full of biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs, pasta salad, spicey shrimp, plain shrimp, baked beans, beans and rice, brownies, fried alligator, some kind of great duck dip, slaw, and of course Jon's claim to fame... 18 hr slow cooked boston butt on the green egg! I was able to see Jon's amazing taxidermy collection and all his the duck huntin toys for the first time as well as catch up with everyone a little bit. It was great to get back together with most everybody (minus Jeff, Doc, and Brian who all had "convenient excuses" not to attend) for the first time since last Oct as we all seem to be pretty busy this year. Jon, thanks again for hosting and to everyone else, as always, I look forward to the next one. Here are a couple of pictures showing we do a little more than eat...

after not carving for about 3 months you have no idea how mad I was that I was unable to attend . Forget the decoys , I'm mad I missed the FOOD !!!!!
