ML Condon,Plywood rip off

Afte searching for a local supplier of BS1088 Okoume Marine ply,I called ML Condon of White Plains NY. I was told they had BS1088 in stock and was quoted a price. I drove the 25 miles to pick it up,paid in the office and went to the yard to load the van. This is where it went downhill. The yard worker shows me the plywood and says I can pick it myself. Now, I have never built a boat before, but I have been doing my "homework". The ply seems to have alot of Knots and rough surface,not what I expected from what I have read. Then I see a Round stamp on the underside of each panel BS6566. So I tell the yard worker that he has shown me the wrong ply. No he says,this is "OUR" BS1088,back into the office I go,They tell me the same thing, I get my money back and leave. 50 miles round trip tolls and gas,I was p----d off. Sorry about this, I had to vent!!! Found a new supplier on Long Island that assured me he has what I want

That's lousy. I wouldn't pay 1088 prices for 6566. I've used both 6566 and 1088 and although I prefer the 1088 I wouldn't scoff at a good deal on 6566. But to be told one thing and discover another that would make me hit the pavement after expressing my dislike to the owner/manager.

Hello Eric, I was paying full price for 1088. Roberts Plywood of Long Island is selling me Loyds certified BS1088 for the same price that ML Condon tried to sell me the BS6566 "OUR BS1088" they say!!!
