Mom and litter are doing well

Just before the Super Bowl was about to begin, Pepper completed her delivery of 8 beautiful puppies. Bev had her figured for Super Bowl Sunday and was right on. While we watched the game we had those squeaks and squeals for background sound and that made the day interesting. We have already found out what it is like trying to sleep at night.
Bev was mighty busy thinking of names like; Tuck, Cruz, Eli, or Brady and I chimed in with Gronk aka Gronkowski. Well I got that "look" and figured my name contribution didn't stand a chance in China.
Most interesting times ahead. We are looking forward to it.

Pepper's last day to hunt was on January 22nd. She normally wears a size large parka but when Chili's 2XL parka stopped fitting I had to leave her home much to the dismay of Pepper. She lives to hunt!

On your last picture it looks like the runt of the litter is laying on mom's front paw. Great looking litter. You could use the name of the star of the half time show. :-)

thats a great picture! my chocolate female just got bread on friday and saturday. i cant wait to have some of those little ones around again! and the pool is a good idea, i might have to do that. i built a welping box last time but it was hell trying to keep it clean, your idea seems way more effective! good luck with the pups and i look forward to more pics.

Well Al, if one of them has the personality of Chaco.....he should definitely be called Gronk! :>)
Great pics, congrats on the healthy little ones.

Jim, I didn't watch the half time show because the two of us were in the office looking at puppies. Now you need to tell me some names. Pepper had 5 females and 3 males.

Beautiful litter Al, Pepper done real good.
Now you have 8 new puppies to take hunting next year

Thanks so much, George. Pepper is one of those dogs that throws great pups and we are very fortunate for that. One thing is for sure---I'll not run out of partners to take duck hunting.

Hi Christian---I guess it has been at least two maybe three years that we have used a wading pond. Heck they only cost about $10 to $12 and are easily stored in the garage. Both Pepper and Salsa have used this pool. It is easily cleaned and ready to go. About the time the pups are three weeks old is when they start reaching up and will try to get out. The beginning of the fun period with pups---eyes opening and gaining strength in their legs so they can romp around!

Nice pictures Al, looks like you have a lot of fun on your hands now!

You are so right, Mark. Bev and I look forward to watching the pups grow. We love holding them and just being around them.
