Eric - I bought the Sandrite years ago to buy time with my family. I used to do all my sanding by hand. That little bow sander is extremely handy and can do all the sanding you need. I make them myself with plywood and belt sanding material. It's basically the same outline and concept as a hacksaw except with sand paper. I have one with half inch and one with one inch belts. They're awesome. Even with the Sandrite, I use them on heads, around necks and any detail sanding I can't get to with the Sandrite. On my Sandrite, I have both a 6 inch and a 2 inch drum. Many people how I manage the production I do. The Sandrite is a big part of it.

Get one. You'll never regret it. I wish I had 2...

I finally got the photos to load that I talked about in my earlier post. They kind of show my "workshop" which is really my desk in my room.

Eric: Thanks for the supplies. FOB Gardez is in Paktya Province which in the east central part of the country. It shares a small border with Pakistan and sits at about 8000 feet. There are parts of this country that look like the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Stunningly beautiful.

Mike - This is so awesome! The importance of my post is nothing compared to the significance of what you are doing for our country and the people of Afghanistan. I am thankful our posts can remind you of home and the things you love most. Keep up the good work Brother and, we will pray you home... Pat

I got a package from Dad today with my drawknife and saw in it. Now I'll be able to go to town on that cedar. I posted my progress on John Tutorial site if anyone cares to follow along.

Pat: I just saw your paint shop post too. Two words: Stun ning! I've got to try some oils when I get back. Keep the pictures coming. I'm loving it.

Mike
