I couldnt Let Steve Sanford have all the fun!! The goose is from my own rig, has been hunted a bunch and therefore looks a little rough/dirty. It only really needed a clean up, sanding, sealing and paint. I textured the head but left the original eyes. The mallard is for a friend, I just finished it up this afternoon. It was missing the tail section so I rebuilt that using 3/8" ply and scrap cork. I lightly carved in some eye channel ("borrowed" that idea from you SS!!), added in new eyes from the duckblind, also textured the head. Both are painted in traditions acrylics, and given an antique wash similar to Pat Gregory has demonstrated here. I have a few more to do of my own that I'd like to hunt over some day...if I ever get to them.
