I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the canvas motor cover that came with the tdb 14. I had one and now have lost it and would like to get somthing similar that covers the shaft and all. Any ideas?

Thanks,Brian

Try Dave Clark, if it is canvas that guy can make anything.
Take care and God Bless

I have one....you can't have it....hahaha.....I decided that it was a pain to deal with, especially during the below freezing late season temps so I painted my motor last summer....But you still can't have my cover....Just paint your motor and be done with it. You won't be selling your motor until it's at least 15 years old and a 15yo motor painted camo doesn't kill the value by much......just paint it.

But if you just HAVE to have one, I'm sure you can buy one from TDB.... call them up. I bet it's between $75 and $125

I feel hi-tech now, I did what Rich did, but upgraded with some camo burlap. Just a rectangle that I roll up when done and get wet just before I use it. Never blows off, comes off in 2 seconds, stows in 30 seconds, always works. About a dollar.

brian I take it that your motor is a 15 h.p.sooo the next time you visit an army /navy store buy a large canvase bag camo paint it and then stich on some clumps of raffia grass to break the out line there long enough to cover to the prop, while toeing use a punggy cord thats what i use on my 25 -4- stroke merc.

I also go with the high-tech camo burlap. I cut a piece longer than the motor and twice as wide as is needed. Then I glue together the "top" seam and around 12" of the open side with hot glue, pressing it together as I go. They last around 5 years if you dry it.

I copied Carl's design with the burlap and hot glue. Have been using it all season and is is holding up quite well. Always dry it out though.
