Motor serial numbers....

Does anyone have a link for determining age using outboard serial numbers? The boomarks I have require a model number.

Found out from another site the motor is a 1975. I was off on my dates a little. I had to call the guy and ask when he bought the boat. Seems it was 1979. I was living in Cedar Rapids, IA by then. Now I'm having senior moments!!!

Looks like the same motor that Mark Rongers got from his brother..it had a mouse nest in it too and wouldn't start the day we took the ad pics.That mouse pee sure is corrosive. Get a manual , rebuild kit for carb and a new waterpump kit..change the plugs and go baby go..
