Mud motor on the river

Here's a teaser the boys at PPF put together yesterday. Really shows ya how a mud motor of this size can get you back into some cool places. Makes me want to go exploring.

That's all fine and dandy but they are suppose to be building MY MOTOR!!!....My kid bought a 4 rotor copter with a camera that you control with your smartphone and watch where your going on the screen. I thought I'd get him in the islands with me doing aerial recon but unfortunately it got caught in an updraft and was taken out by a transformer.

Ron,

Have you had a chance to try out your motor yet?

I talked to Jake at PPF this morning. My motor ships Thursday or Friday. Temps are getting warmer. Once the river goes back in her banks it'll be time to go play. I don't care to dodge debris at the moment. There's some large trees coming down the river right now.

He said to look for a better video at the end of the week. He told me he has a freind with a video production company. His friend does use a 4 rotor copter with a Gopro camera on it.

sorry Mark, he didn't say where the location was....:\

Neat clip. It looks like those little 7hp long tails can move pretty good. Could be a worthwhile project. Even if just for fun!

the smaller longtails can get through some stuff. I have a 6.5 mudbuddy on my 13'6" fourrivers. Me, dog, gear will run at 9mph and over anything that bends over. I do need about 6" of water though. With just me sitting toward the middle I can get it through a little more shallow stuff
