I had the opportunity to have a long sitdown with an oldtime duckhunter here in Milwaukee (Grandpa Zaidel). He dug through his files and found a recipe that he swore by. Told me I'd be sucking the bones. I haven't tried it yet, but I thought I'd share. I've never eaten a coot - but I'm sure I'll try it at some point.
