I did this (jitterbug) to some decoys a while back. I hunt a lot of small streams and I wanted my decoys to move left to right and back again rather than just stay stationary. I hooked up a contraption to my decoy line via a snap swivel and put a piece of bent plastic on it. The lip on the bent plastic will catch the current and move the decoy one way or another. When it reAches the limit of the line, the plastic swivels and the decoy goes back the other way. I was surprised it worked.
Have fun with the salad bowl decoys. Bet you love the outcome.
