I am happy to report that in the space of 3 days I have been able to complete the sale of my don warren bbsb and the purchase of my new (to me) TDB classic 14. The best part of these transactions has truly been getting to meet 2 great DBDN members.
Paul Boundy, here in MA and now the new owner of the don warren, is committed to a strict regimen of crunches in the off season to assist him in the fine art of sitting up to shoot. Paul - I wish you great success with this endeavor and remember that it only works if you can avoid taking a nap !
Mark Van Sciver was kind enough today to meet me halfway with the TDB.........a trip of about 200 miles for each of us in the pouring rain and then was thoughtful enough to give me 2 handsome black duck decoys that he makes to go with the boat ! Keep an eye on your mailbox Mark !
I am looking forward to creating the mother of all layout boats using the TDB without the blind and the also being able to photograph some sea ducks on
calm days while using the blind a short distance outside of the marsh.
One of my first projects will be to paint the interior with non skid added and I am considering adding a very shallow deck or some interlocking tiles to give me some space above any water............any suggestions greatly appreciated !
