There is a locally produced outdoors show that is now being aired on the Outdoors Channel on fridays and saturdays. I have been viewing the show off and on for a few years up here, but now that he has some national exposure things are taking off for the small production company.

Todays show is pretty cool if you like boats and ocean fishing. They are at the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association Kioti Bay fish hatchery on Afognak Island catching silvers on the salt using locally made spinners. Reminds me that I need to pick up some from this kid in the spring outdoors show and do a side by side testing with the old Mepps in August.
Catching silvers on spinners, fun I guess
..... but that boat!
I have seen a lot of welded heavy work boats up here and most are based on what beach set netters or purse seiners use, but this hatchery boat is a large welded semi-V garvey. It looks just awesome out on the water.
The music on the show is also local from a band that is just starting to get national radio time in some rock markets. Geezer rockers like me kind of like it when we are off our meds.
