I caught her from my kayak on a live eel, about 3 miles North of the North end of the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel. The fight lasted 10 minutes or so, she towed me 60 yards. My biggest kayak fish!!!

Awesome fish....I bet that was a fun fight out of the sit-on-top...10 minute fight...It would of took me two hours with trying not to go overboard...

Thanks for sharing your bounty,

Kristan

Nice fish..often wondered about using kayak near Juneau AK for salmon. My daughter lives there and I have fished silvers, pinks, and chum when visiting her (fly rod).

Never fished for stripers myself.....How do you cook them?

How to cook them?
I've never met a fish that didnt go well with flour & hot grease!
Except maybe salmon.

Very nice bass. I have caught a lot out of my kayak but never one close to that size. I bet it was a great fight. Congrats.

Nice fish! So in a kayak, if the fish is pulling sideways to the boat, do you just roll your butt toward it? I've seen guys fishing for salmon in the Columbia River with kayaks, but I haven't seen them out for sturgeon.
