NDR: Great day for kids and bunnies

Not talking the Easter kind.
My Daughter Bailey and her girl friend Josie, along with my son and myself set out on the Annual New Salem Rabbit Hunt.

This was Bailey's very first hunt ever, and she bagged a rabbit using her 22 (everybody else had shotguns) with a perfect 20 yard head shot.
Josie begged her first ever as well, and Ryan was successful as well. All in all it was a beautiful day, and spending it outdoors hunting with my kids made it a very special one as well.

Well, Robins are hopping around in the yard, geese are flying about and the snow has begun to wain. The change is upon us once again, and Westlake beckons us all, so it's back to the shop !!! to dream of ducks bunnies and laughing kids.

Wow, rabbit hunting. When I was a kid growing up, hunting mainly meant two things: rabbits and squirrels. Congratulations on keeping that tradition alive. Simple sports like that are more fun for kids anyway. Well, that and duck hunting of course.

Nice! Love that pink .22. I wish I had one. Looks like some fine spring like weather you've got going on there Brian. Only 2 1/2 more months until spring up here!

Mike,
The day was an excellent one. Temps reached into the fourties!!! The kids had an excellent time, and I could not have been prouder of my lil sniper. She really worked hard for her bun. Everyone else was scatter gunning and Bugs had given a four ten a try. Her frame is just a tad bit slight still (unlike her big bro Gigantor).

Bugs had to wait until we could find a still target with a clear and safe down range area, but her patience paid off.

Cool B,

I let the dogs out in the back yard yesterday morning, and 10 minutes or so I hear the squealing, the Springer and the Lab each caught a bunny. Fleas jumpin' on their noses. Rex and Shah were pretty proud of themselves when I opened the back door. Now they've been scratchin' all day.

See ya in 2 weeks.
