NDR - what's there to do in San Diego?

Bring camera----by the time you are done, you'll wish that you had another two weeks to spend there. It is a delightful city if you don't mind 12 lanes of concrete. As Pete mentioned, the zoo will keep you occupied for an entire day. The Pacific Ocean front is worthy of a stroll down the beach.

+1 on the Coronado. It was a long time ago, but my host took me to a horse racing track, which was kind of neat. Around here the only horse racing has the horses dragging carts.

Hanks guys, looks like I got two out of three!

I got out of the afternoon meeting yesterday and checked out the USS Midway, it was walking distance from the hotel... Dinner for the meeting was at the zoo!

The aircraft carrier was impressive! That thing is huge! In 3 hrs, I got to see most things, but not all. I learned a lot! I found it particularly interesting to find out the the captain of an aircraft carrier is actually a navy pilot or aviator, an not a navy water guy! Makes sense though, and they give them lots of training.

The zoo was great. They gave us the double decker. Us tour. The lions and elephants were impressive. Lots of the animals were sleeping since it was so late in the day. The catering was top notch.

Hope to come back another day to explore the city some more!
