Having a hard time trying to figure out how, what and
where to put a ramp on the new V-bow. The old Roughneck
it was perty easy and aluminum was thicker on the sides
VS the new old rig.

I had been using an old herters Dog Doc that I modified and added a 2nd step worked great. Had a buddy make
one out of aluminum for me and sold it with the rig as
it was custom made to fit it.

I still have the old steel one but its not gona work for
sure and weighs a ton. Could modify it and make a new
style but I really want Gordy in and out the front of
the boat not the back by the motor.

Guys with V-bottoms do you have a good way for deep water gunning to get fido in and out of the water?

This was my old set up and the ramp I still have that
design works well and you dont have to ever touch
the dog.

Easy would be on the rear deck but that will interfear
with the short blind I am going to build. Front deck
is where I want Him but the sides flare like they do.

Something hinged that would swing up in would be
nice also........ lol

saw this was kinda cool 400$ and 6 feet long lol

Not sure how it will work for you, but I have a permanently mounted flip down ramp on my Honker.

Thanks that does give me an idea. on yours is there a 2nd step under the water or just the platform? Since we are most always in deep water that 2nd step was always useful.

I would need to relocate the handle on the back or remove and come up with other way to attach the trans tie down.

Thanks for the photo appreciated.

Dave, I thought that was a great idea too. What about just routing out a slot for the handle to fit through when it is in the up position? You could clip a heavy carabeener type hook on the handle as a way to hold it in the up position. When it is up an clipped on the trailer, then you could clip your tie-down to that for trailering. Trip.
