New evinrude g2 tiller

I saw evinrude released a tiller with built in power steering for a 150. Looks like a pretty sweet set up, i have always been a tiller fan and there are plenty of tiller setups out west on some monster boats. Looks like it would make using a big tiller much easier.

Has anyone gotten to play with one yet?

I was just interested in the new power tiller system, more interrsted in a prop rig. I?d go diesel inboard with a Hamilton for a jet. There is a marine mechanic next to where I work and he loves evinrude. he says the new g2 series is unreal.

I keep hemming and hawing whether or not I want a 17-19? duck water or a surface drive mud rig(first, lol). I?m leaning towards the duck water because it could double duty for divers/crabbing/spearfishing rig. I?m planning on running aqua pods or the like for puddlers so I don?t need super shallow draft seeing as I?m going to anchor the tender in the main river. The mud rig would be more for peace of mind and make puddler hunting easier.

2020 is gonna be a good year, just got to find the right house with a large barn first.

Current outboards are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more reliable than their 2-stroke precursors, but you pay for that. Keep it flushed and maintained, but you have already been exposed to the "salt" Are you relocated permanently now?
