new floor in my old boston whaler, And blind added

Try this again, I keep trying to post pictures of replacing the floor in my 14 ft boston whaler, don't know if it will work this time or not, but any ways, The floor was starting to rot out in a few places so I cut it all out and replaced with ply wood and removed the 2 small dry boxes to give more room to move around in . once I got the floor in I desided to repaint it so I sanded it all down and made stencil's myself and started painting. This was the first time I ever glassed anything but seems to have come out pretty good. I went back with carpet and put in new seats and pedastals . I started building a folding blind on it if the pictures work this time I'll post more when it's complete, but it is taken a lil longer than I'd expected but still got time before the season starts here in Ga. I did take the kids fishing in the river with it and it worked out good rode fine and had no leaks so figured I did a pretty good job for my first time at it.

Did you rip out and replace the foam sandwich between the fiberglass
I heard that foam can get pretty waterlogged over time

Good Job Chris,
you did fine and the paint job looks cool. I like it.
Should hunt well.
The pictures showed up fine. Be interested to see how you build the blind.

Bob

The foam was pretty water logged, so I riped it out and cut the blue foam insulation from lowes to fit and filled in the gaps around it with great stuff then put the ply wood over it and glassed it in.

Finnaly got time to work on the blind for my Boat after replacing the floor this summer. I didn't think bout takening pics till one of my girls reminded me to so I got a few with the girls helping daddy and the finnished blind , it's made out of 3/4 emt and bimin fittings . the a camo tarp with surpluse netting over it and shredded burlap tied into the netting. All folds up nicely inside the gunnels of the boat, its held in place by 2 bolts in the center where the emt crosses. The top can be touched to fall open when time to shoot then picked back up. Now gotta work on a dog platform for Biscuit to sit on outside the blind . Think I might use an old lock on deerstand to do that with.
