New Member/New Paint Job

First post, hope to learn and pick up some tips and tricks here, maybe a boat this year...Just finished this paint job on my Mossberg 930 waterfowl

Welcome aboard this is a great site if you have any questions all you have to do is ask. Great job how did you do that paint job? I would like to do somthing like that. Also how do you like the 930? I was thinking of picking one up this season

Chris, you are thinking of picking up a 930???? You just rebuilt a beautiful bbsb. It is a good thing you have a girlfreind and not a wife!!!!!!!!! :>) Trip

If I keep spending money on waterfowl gear I can't buy a ring so that's how I work it. . . . . For now anyway till she tells me otherwise Lol . . . . one day she will be my wife. She knows when the season is getting close because the ups and fed ex man comes by a few times a week. I tell her that waterfowl hunting is not season its a way of life.

I used Krylon camo colors. Base coat of brown. Then layed long grass I cut out of my buddys yard (you can see it laying on the pallet.). I just kept adding more grass and using more colors. First time I ever tried it and I'm happy, looks darker in person than in the picture and it's flat, no shine.

The Mossber 930 is a good gun. I have had a few problems here and there with it, which were all attributed to me not putting it back together right. A member on here (Mike) put it back together for me and it shot great. The weather shield is cool too, can leave it in the bottom of the boat for a few days and not a spot of rust, unlike my 870.

Good to see you've signed up Jason. There's alot of knowledgeable and well respected folks on this site. Pull up a chair and sit awhile. You'll like it here.
 
It is a slow training process for sure. You can tell when you have made it by how well she responds to the whistle and takes hand signals!!!! Just celebrated my 30th year of bliss last week and she still has a hard time with the whistle. In fact, when I try the whistle she gives me hand signals. Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!! Trip

My first tip I've picked up here, get a dog not a wife! Hopefully my own boat soon too.
